A family of apps for your second brain

Your knowledge.
Connected. Owned. Alive.

Synapse is a growing family of beautiful, GitHub-backed apps that turn your notes, meetings, and ideas into a living second brain — readable by you, your tools, and your AI agents.

The Synapse Philosophy

GitHub at the heart. Always.

Your second brain shouldn't be locked in someone else's database. Synapse apps write plain Markdown straight to a private GitHub repository you own — versioned, portable, and instantly readable by every AI tool on the planet.

You own the data

Plain Markdown files in your repo. No proprietary format, no vendor lock-in, no rug-pull. If Synapse ever disappears, your knowledge doesn't.

Sync is just Git

Every device pulls and pushes the same repo. No bespoke sync engine, no mystery conflicts — just the most battle-tested versioning system on Earth.

Agent-ready by default

Because your knowledge is in a GitHub repo, every AI agent — Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, your own — can read it, search it, and contribute back.

Built for the long haul

Markdown files are still readable in 50 years. Your second brain should outlive whatever app you happen to use today.

Built in the open

Open source. Always.

Every node in the Synapse family — Notes, Meetings, and the apps still to come — is open source, and will always stay that way. Read the code, file an issue, send a PR, fork it for your team. Your second brain shouldn't depend on a black box.

Synapse Cloud, coming soon, will offer an optional membership that unlocks advanced scheduled automations on your note vaults. The apps stay free and open. The membership is opt-in — for when you want a tireless agent tending your vault while you sleep.

The Family

Three apps. One brain.

Each Synapse app does one thing brilliantly — and they all sync through the same private GitHub vault.
